PIPPO LIONNI'S "FRAGEDRIDE"

"FRAGEDRIDE," an installation by international artist, Pippo Lionni, appears in Portland, OR. A HOTLIPS Pizza company car was "fragged" in late September and can be seen around Portland this fall. "Fragedride" is part of the Fragmenta series, works Pippo has completed since 2005. Recent installations in the series are Everlastingblast at Max Lang Gallery in New York City; Frig-frag in Paris; and, Aftermath, from the exhibition, Survival of the Fittest, at Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, 2005. Additional pieces in the series are: Fragedsmile, Prenadalfrag, Airfrag, Fraged T.C., Fraged 4x4 and others.

Pippo Lionni, an American artist living in Paris, has shown his artwork throughout Europe and the US. Pippo is a conceptual and graphic designer, and founding partner of the graphic and industrial design firm, Ldesign, in Paris. "Fragedride" initiates HOTLIPS' Art Action Program, a series of events and artworks that express the working philosophy that sensory experience enhances life, and that art, like pizza, is an irreducible ingredient for a healthy society.
